We are living in interesting times in the design side of things. Some features that have previously been removed are now being re-evaluated from different perspectives. We will see how that turns out, but we’re holding on to that information for a while.
The base is coming along nicely and we are now drafting plans on how to implement the quest system. We have also discussed the skill tree and how to tie everything together, for example which actions trigger what reactions and how to present everything in an easily understood manner.
And once again… how to bring in the data elements so that they are understandable and provide valuable information for the player.

This week has been hectic, hectic aaaand hectic! We are planning for the future, really pushing hard for the next update, and we got a new team member! So, in the midst of all the hurry and chaos, there are still awesome things happening all the time! So on that note, have a good weekend!

For me, this week has been planning, planning and more planning! We have some new types of update posts in the works, so keep your eyes peeled!

This week I have been totally tied up with other things and design work for something super secret…
Also I have started implementing AI behaviour for the monsters in the base so they can move and live there naturally without affecting the new base system, which is still a work in progress. Such massive features and so little time! Here is a cute gif about Pölkky in a pool :D

I didn’t really have time for Fantastic Energy this week, I had to spend most of my time on our other projects and school. However, I saw a quick tutorial for this cool wireframe effect on Blender Secret’s Instagram and wanted to try it so here’s a fun gif of the player being scanned.

I didn’t have any time to work on Fantastic Energy this week, because I have so much work to do for school!

Strangely enough I did have time to work on the animations this week, and even finished them for three monsters! Tiiny, Rotund and Birdey, remember them? Lovely, lovely little monsters that can now run as much as they like, dodge if they’re quick enough and rejoice when they’re chosen! There’s nothing better than seeing a character come alive with every animation I finish, and there’s only a few monsters left before all the current monsters have more freedom of movement and expression than they did when I started!
Thanks for reading and cya next week!
With love,
